Furthermore, mechanical suspension seats are a lot more cost-effective, which is a serious concern if you are outfitting a large commercial fleet instead of a couple of vehicles.

Seats that feature an air suspension system are usually significantly more costly than mechanical systems, but some users will tell you that they are a better investment. Air suspension seats use a pneumatic system to cushion against shocks and vibrations. This means that they can be adjusted faster to ensure the best possible fit with both the body size and the shape of the operator and the purpose of the vehicle. Making adjustments with these seats is easier and more precise as you simply have to vary air pressure. With springs, the pneumatic system maintains constant pressure no matter their setting.

Generally, air suspension seats can support slightly more weight. But still, their biggest advantage is probably that they are more comfortable than mechanical systems. If the vehicle is only going to be driven for short periods of time, this isn't much of a big deal. But if your vehicle is going to be driven across significant distance, this factor becomes more important.
